About the Book

Jacqui Shehorn is a Humanities and English Instructor at West Hills College Lemoore in the Central Valley of California. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California at Irvine and Master’s degree in English with an emphasis in literature from California State University in Fresno. She has taken a wide variety of courses in a diverse array of subject areas, which honed her interest in the humanities. Jacqui is also an advocate for OER.

The content was reviewed by peers using the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges Open Educational Resources Initiative Evaluation Rubric and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism (IDEA) Audit Framework.

The manuscript is openly licensed to offer readers the opportunity to revise, remix, redistribute, reuse, retain, and expand the literature to fit learning needs.
